Driving to the North end of Vancouver Island can take
longer than most people would think, though it is a beautiful
drive. You can usually bet on a 6-7 hour drive from Nanaimo,
and if you are towing a boat, then count a little more
time. The roads past Port McNeil are just a little windy
and bumpy.

On the way to the North part of Vancouver Island,
make sure you stop and do a little whale watching in Telegraph Cove, home to the Orca Whales.
